Ping Wales is a registered waste management company, holding a Section 23 permit for the management of waste electrical and electronic equipment. It is licensed for the reprocessing of IT related hardware including the fragmentising, shredding, shearing and baling of such wastes. The compnay holds waste carriers licensing and issues both controlled waste and hazardous waste transfer notices at the point of collection. The destruciton of confidential computer data is carried out to relevant standards including HMG CESG IS5 (Baseline & Enhanced) and the US dept of defence 7 pass wipe. Any data bearing media found to have failed this purging process is destroyed by shredding of the chassis and assoicated platters. .
